Trekking in the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) is an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India’s most significant biodiversity hotspots, GHNP offers raw, untouched Himalayan wilderness. As a protected area, the park has no roads or permanent infrastructure—the only way to explore it is on foot, making every trek truly immersive

To ensure conservation and safety, trekking in GHNP is only permitted with certified and experienced guides. The park’s dense terrain makes it easy to get lost, and guided treks help preserve the fragile ecosystem while offering a deeper understanding of the region.

We specialize in multi-day guided treks inside GHNP, led by trained local experts who are part of our certified cooperative. Every trek is managed by a skilled guide and support team, focused on both trekker comfort and ecological responsibility

Our team brings over a decade of experience in sustainable tourism in Tirthan Valley. Their deep knowledge of the region’s trails, wildlife, and history enriches every journey, offering insights into the unique flora and fauna of GHNP and the formation of the park itself.

Since being declared a National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) has been strictly protected from human development. There are no roads, villages, or commercial activities inside the park boundaries. Activities like grazing, logging, and hunting are completely banned, helping to preserve the park's unique biodiversity and keep the natural ecosystem in its pure, untouched state.

All conservation efforts and visitor management are overseen by the GHNP Forest Department Office in Sai Ropa, the official entry point for trekkers. This is where you need to obtain your trekking permit. Only a limited number of permits are issued each year to control footfall and prevent environmental damage. This ensures a sustainable trekking experience while protecting the park's delicate ecosystem

The Sai Ropa campus also features introductory nature trails and an arboretum, where you can see native tree species that represent the broader biodiversity of GHNP. However, these walks do not enter the core park zone.

If you’re planning a GHNP trek, get in touch with us. We will handle the entire process—including arranging your official trekking permit, which will be included in your trek package for a hassle-free experience.
